If my balls weren't made of steel, I'd be working...but i already ignored the text that would have me working on the 4th.

Let the boss fire me for not replying. I'll find another job. icon_twisted.gif

Watching the Dolan family fireworks from my boat in Oyster Bay: http://www.forbes.com/profile/charles-dolan/ I can get so close that it's even nicer than watching the Macys fireworks display in the city!

Well, the only real beach here in New Orleans was closed a couple of weeks ago because of two different drowning incidents that happened within a month of each other. Nothing dangerous about the beach....just teenagers doing stupid stuff. Anyway, they've closed the beach off and will arrest you if you go near it. But yesterday I took my boat out to this beach (see profile pic) and discovered they can't bother you unless you step foot on the beach. I just anchored offshore and me and a friend swam in the water for half the day. So we're going to do the same on the 4th. Going tomorrow to buy pool floaties and stuff like that. icon_smile.gif

No plans. It's hard to do much when it falls in the middle of the week.

I'll be at my uncles, swimming in his pool, eating delicious food and drinking delicious beer. Then lighting some fireworks later in the night.

It is hot as HELL here, literally, so I'm staying in next few days. If you're in a hot area, make sure you take water with you if you drive around. You don't want to get stuck in 105 heat index with no water.

It seems like it has too many flavors going on and fighting with each other---the mustard, the ketchup, the bacon---then the mayo, the chips, the relish---it's like the Civil War of Condiments----the War of Ketchup Aggression----the--um---well I stretched that metaphor as far as it'll go---

I dunno.....somehow, the flavors seem to balance each other out....the chips are optional as are the bacon bits but usually I put them on to kinda give a salty taste to balance out the sweet...it's a pretty good combo...sounds awful in words but when you see and taste it, it's amazing!!

Visiting my sister and really great nephew and niece, and taking a pass on the picnic and awful heat and humidity and going out with an old friend and having a patriotic dinner at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant.
