So I bought the shoes and sensor and done three races.

So far I like it, it's motivating.

has anyone else have a different experience? do you feel it was a waste of money?

My partner just bought the heart rate monitor one (it attaches to your chest, and speaks to your watch instead of your ipod). He loves it.

Loved it, although most races ban the used of any kind of headphones. Sometimes snuck them on after the first 500 meters. The thing was remarkably accurate.

The battery does burn out, however, so follow the instructions and take the transmitter out when the shoes are doing something else (e.g. walking around, workout out, sitting in luggage going through an airport, etc) that involves active or passive movement. Because there's no replacing just that part--you have to buy an entirely new + system.

Unfortunately, the system doesn't work with the iPod Touch (or the iPhone), so haven't been able to use it since I upgraded from a lost nano.

I love my Nike+ system. It has really motivated me to keep running. It tracks runs, times, calories, longest workouts, etc.

I did leave my sensor in my shoe for awhile and it died. Take it out if you are not running. You can buy just the sensor from Nike.com or a new Nike+ system, whichever you prefer.

It is the best thing ever invented. icon_biggrin.gif
