I hop onto Grindr every once in awhile to answer messages and such. I'm having a decent convo with a guy pretty much throughout yesterday. Made it clear I'm not looking for a hookup, etc. and we were good.

This goes on from about 10a to 4p or so. During that time I tell him where I live (the crossroads, but not exact address or anything).

So, now it's around 7p. I just finished making and eating my dinner. Keep in mind that my sliding glass doors are visible to a fairly busy street and I had the blinds open. After washing my dishes, I sit down to watch some TV.

All of a sudden I get a message from this guy asking, "Done with dinner?". By the time our chatting stopped at 4p, I never mentioned anything about my dinner plans. My reply was, "huh?". And I get zero response after that.

Needless to say, I closed my blinds not sure what the hell was going on. I'm hoping he accidentally typed that to me and meant it for someone else and isn't camping out on my rooftop.

How far away did his location show during the last message?

It is kind of creepy, but since it was around 7 it could just be that he assumed you had just had dinner.

Indeed very creepy, I hope for your sake it wasn't meant for you..

You could try and take a shower and if he sends you a message
"done with showering" than you'd know where you stand icon_smile.gif

I didn't check that. But I do know that he doesn't live far from me as it is.

Maybe you need a gun. icon_eek.gif

The location thing is the reason I stopped using Grindr. It makes stalking way too easy.

The thing that really creeped me out was he didn't respond with, "Oh, I assumed you were eating dinner since it's 7p" or "Sorry, sent that to the wrong person". He was still online when I sent it and a few minutes later.

    ew, that's super creepy.

I hope he's not like some John Wayne Gasey type psycho who's plotting your untimely demise

Investing in some samurai swords and other weapons might be a good idea. Maybe a guard dog or two.

Edit: or you could hire me. I bit a man's ankle once.

What if he's a Jeffery Dahmer type psycho who's planning his tasty demise?

Realistically seriously doubt he scavenged all around your area looking through open windows with binoculars hoping to find you then stalk you and send you a message related to what you were doing.

Guys are on Grindr for easy. Easy sex, easy sex chat, easy flakeout when they get bored. Not to set off on intricate hyper-committed stalk and stakeout missions which really only exist in movies.

I hear what you're saying, but none of our almost 6-hours of chatting was sexual in nature. It was a good, almost platonic conversation, really which is probably why i kept chatting with him. We said we'd set up a movie date for this week sometime….then hours later he said that.
