There's also the flexibillity factor to consider

Oh, I bet MJ is very flexible. She has to be considering she does go to bed with the web slinger. icon_twisted.gif

loved Mary Jane in the comic but she was absolutely dreadful and a total drag in the Spider Man movies especially the last one.

Gwen Stacy will be a breath of fresh air for the franchise

If anyone goes to see the new Spider-Man movie, please be careful about posting spoilers.

There may be someone who hasn't read the comic, seen the previous movie, watched the animated series, watched the TV show, or seen the Broadway play. Thanks.

8/10 Soooo much better than the last series its not even funny.
    -
Some parts seemed rush where others seemed dragged out in the plot.
The CG could have been better but it wasn't completely awful.
    A couple unrealistic plot holes.(but it's a superhero movie, It's kinda expected...unless it's Batman...)
    +
They captured how Spiderman is supposed to be, fun, energetic, sarcastic.
    Lots of action
They stick a lot closer to the comic book/tv show
Start of what will be hopefully a great series
    Emma Stone is awesome
    Definitely worth seeing

I'm excited C. Thomas Howell is back on the big screen. I've been a fan of his since I saw the Outsiders in 6th grade.

I prefer MJ but I like Gwen Stacey and Emma Stone. This looks like an adaptation more true to the comics than the previous movies.

It felt a bit long, but I don't think I've ever been a big Spiderman fan. Also the lizard sometimes looked a bit more comical than fierce. Guess that is what you get with a talking lizard. There were a few intense scenes which was good.

It was an okay movie. Much better than the Raimi trilogy. And Gwen is infinitely better than ol Kirstin "Snaggletooth" Dunst.

I prefer Mary-Jane but if the new movies set up the whole Gwen Stacy Saga I will cream my pants.

And the original movies had a wretched MJ. So watered down. Even Gwen's breif cameo in 3 was better.

I'm all for Gwen in the new ones..... And Andrew Garfield. Yum.

Garfield is too skinny for my taste. But I guess if you have to be a geeky high-schooler to play Peter Parker, what other way is there to go? He's a terrific actor, but "meh" for me as Spidy.

    *spoiler alert*

    There's this guy named Spiderman.
He does everything a spider can. Spins a web, any size. Catches thieves just like flies.

Mary Jane was a good character until Kirstin Dunce ruined her...

I'm optimistic. I may try to go see it today.

Just please tell me Nickelback didn't record any songs on this soundtrack???

It wasn't too bad...I'd give it a 8 out of 10. Gwen is great, and actually enjoyed all of the cast. The movie paced itself pretty well, just kind of a slow start. I'd definitely recommend seeing it in 3D. There was a couple things I wasn't excited about. (Without going into Spoiler territory, lets just say some of this we've seen done before in regards to his origin story. Did it really need to be told again?) But I love where they appear to be going with the story...stay for the credits, there's an additional scene! Which in our theater, the sound cut out (f'ing awesome!) so i'm gonna have to go back and see it just for that. Hope everyone else enjoys it and let me know your thoughts!

Oh, and as actresses go, definitely dig Gwen over Mary Jane...in the comic book world, Mary Jane gets my vote! icon_biggrin.gif
