"Is that - is that - Grindr Mr. Santorum?" the young reporter can be heard saying on videotape of the incident. "America's number one gay dating app?"

"Grindr? What's no? The yellow one? Oh right. OK. Grindr. Like coffee grinds. Yeah that's something I downloaded for coffee It finds the nearest Starbucks."

Yeah, it leads him to the nearest Starbucks, alright, but not for the coffee. icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, I did just find out that is indeed satire and came here to make that note. I am not sure if I am a leftist, but I certainly will admit to being overly enthusiastic in following links that appear in my twitter feed.

I should have known this was too good to be true. I always recognize the Onion spoofs, but not this one, I could believe it of Santorum.

Incidentally, I had Grindr on my iPhone for a short time, to see what everyone was talking about. And I thought maybe some of our single friends might want to use it if we encountered them around town, and they didn't have the app on a smartphone themselves (a few still use company Blackberrys or refuse to get a smartphone).

But no one ever did ask to use my Grindr, while some did laugh when they saw it with my screen icons. Saying I had it for "curiosity" and "for others to use" sounded lame and not very convincing, so I deleted it.
