I went to the national fireworks in 1976. I plan on going again in 2026.

You can get too much of a good thing.

For 2 years I went to an annual North American fireworks convention in August, where companies demonstrated their skills, their newest pyrotechnic innovations, and hoped to generate sales. It lasted 6 days, with 3 hours of some of the most incredible aerial fireworks and ground displays every night.

It kinda made me jaded about attending future fireworks, and once again tomorrow I doubt we'll go to see any. Instead, we're attending a home BBQ with friends.

I keep forgetting it's a holiday today... I have a feeling I'll be stuck at work all day, regardless... At least I'll get to HEAR the fireworks...
