Tri/Bicep excercises that minimize elbow strain?

Anyone have suggestions on this? I've cut my arm isolation exercises almost completely out and started wearing a wrap because of a tendency to develop tendonitis in one elbow or the other with heavy weights. Usually, it seems to be preacher curls or cable tricep extensions that start the problem.
Any ideas for range of motion or exercises that minimize strain on the elbows would be appreciated.

Have you seen the doc for this? I tried about everything until I finally got an injection of corticosteroids directly into the effected tendons. I was able to work biceps the very next day, and have never had problems since. Before that I tried everything, compression bands, ice, NSAIDs like Aleve, and about everything else you can think of. Nothing worked until I got a simple and cheap injection. If you haven't gone that route yet you may want to think about it.

Also I learned not to go to full extension on the arm exercises. That can help somewhat to.

Haven't really tried the doctor visit, I thought it was just a symptom of aging. I have been limiting elbow extension more lately although I've always known not to hyper extend. No pain at the moment but then I have cut back on the arm-specific stuff.
The doctor will have wait until I move back to the US in December.
