I do cardio and i do the thirty minute express, i just feel like i need to be doing more. I wont lie i am a big dude trying to lose all this weight. Any suggestions? I'm just tired of feeling lost in the gym.

Get a personal trainer. None of us here have the ability to help you feel more comfortable in the gym.

Most gyms offer at least one free personal training session...use it! It should give you the basics of what to do. But if you're looking to lose weight, you need to first focus on your diet. You can exercise like a mo-fo, but if you still eat a carb and fat-laden diet, you're never going to see any progress. I'd suggest cutting all carbs out of your diet at first and only eat "good" fats, like those found in olive oil and nuts, for example. You probably need to focus on portion control also. Reduce the amount of meat you consume at a meal to the size of your fist, and replace with fruits and veggies to make yourself feel full. Also, drink lots of water (at least 8 glasses a day).

If you want to lose weight diet is more important than working out even though working out will help, you must change your diet. Try doing cardio that works out many body parts at once like swimming (this is like magic if you want to lose weight), and the elliptical machine are great options. When i was going to the gym to lose weight I would also go into the steam room and sauna it's a nice treat after a great workout session.

    Good Luck

    This.
Otherwise you'll be fooling yourself and nothing will come of your supposed desire to lose weight. Progress comes in stages.
    Good luck!
