Welcome to traveling careers (such as mine).

It sucks to get attached to a place then get sent away.

    Mmmm, mmmm
Say good-bye to not knowing when
The truth in my whole life began
Say good-bye to not knowing how to cry
    You taught me that

    Chorus (first time substitute
    "strength" for "love" and
    "saved" for "changed"):

And I'll remember the love that you gave me
Now that I'm standing on my own
I'll remember the way that you changed me
    I'll remember

    Inside I was a child
That could not mend a broken wing
Outside I looked for a way
To teach my heart to sing

I learned to let go of the
    illusion that we can possess
I learned to let go, I travel in stillness
    And I'll remember happiness
    I'll remember (I'll remember)
    Mmmmm... (I'll remember)
    Mmmmm...

    chorus
    (I'll remember)

No I've never been afraid to cry
Now I finally have a reason why
    I'll remember (I'll remember)
    repeat 3 times, substituting
"And" for "Now" the second and
    third times

    À MONTRÉAL

I've lost my heart a little bit in Montréal
Where stones a-butt and eaves come jutting out

I've lost my heart among the homes of Montréal
Where curves and corners make no sense at all

The mingle-mangled people grace the sides of Saint-Laurent
The hustle-bustling tourists come to see her Notre-Dame

I've lost my heart, "perdu mon coeur à Montréal"
Her skies where you can barely see the stars

I've lost my heart to Montréal

Feel fortunate that you have had and still have the opportunity to spend time in different parts of the world. Many would be jealous of you.

However, I can definitely see how it could become unsettling especially if you get attached to a place. I was in Ottawa for two months back in 1998 and fell in love with it there. The people were so incredibly nice, at least the ones I worked with.

The same happened to me when I went to Madrid for 6 months in 2003. Such a beautiful city with beautiful people.

    Good luck wherever you go!

MuchoMasQueMusculo saidOh, so you think you might leave NYC simply because you might not like it?

I think it will work for you. Well, at least considering what we talked about.... icon_wink.gif

O no hell no, of course i will like NYC, I am saying it depends on what my school requires me to do.... I dont always have the option of going where I like with my medical school you see?

... 3 months?!...

Bon Voyage, copain.... Et bonne chance où que tu ailles!!

I am sure packing up and moving frequently can become exhausting, but I know that you will be a great success wherever you go and someday you will value all the life experiences you had while traveling the world.

    Best of luck to you.
