    Hey Guys

What do you think of Catherine Tate. I find her one of the very few female comedians with real talent.

She is coming back as a regular next season on The Office.

Here's a sketch of The Catherine Tate Show

BTW, does anyone know the identity of the actor playing the teacher in this sketch?

I like Catherine Tate, then again I am more likely to like a comedian who is female, plus throw in a British accent.. it's catnip to me.

I don't understand why there seems to be some sort of consensus that female comedians are somehow less talented.

I thought she was brilliant on Doctor Who. She was great with the comedy, and with the dramatic scenes. I think her end was extremely tragic (even though she did not die). She played it beautifully.

    She is very talented.

I loved her line in "Love and Other Disasters" where she's plopped on the couch gasping at one of the scariest movies her character's ever seen, and when asked what it was groaned with distaste "Julia Roberts in 'Knotting Hill'." I quote it often because I once met Julia Roberts and didn't like her, but her hot boyfriend at the time was really nice.

We have her collection of comedy sketches. We can't agree on our favorite characters, though.

She's among the best... very much in the tradition of Tracy Ullman and Lilly Tomlin...actors who build their work on characterization. She should be better known.

Absolutely agree, plus I'd add Madeline Khan.

    I absolutely love Nan Taylor...

I wish they'd show her show here like on BBC America. I love using the posh mother's 'run for your lives' line.

I was about to post some videos of her but wasn't sure if people would get it haha.
She is great, nan is the best in my opinion "WHAT A FAACKING LIBERTY" the rat sketch is comedy gold
The "Did you here about our John? He's a gaaay maaan now!" is good too.
