Hi guys Chicago Market Days is in 1 week. I have gotten myself back to pre-breakup shape of 6 mos ago or so, but my abd still havent come back 100%. I know how to do more cardio and eat less carbs/fats more than usual this week to get them to pop byt anyone got any quick tips for fast effects?

My uncle is a bodybuilder and he used to do this water elimination thing with drinking more water days before a competition then no salts and no potassium...it was complicated but it seemed to work for him, what was he doing?icon_rolleyes.gif

THANKS for the help guys. icon_smile.gif

In the August "Mens Fitness" there was a 7-day cutting strategy on page 18.

I have a feeling that you'd need to be starting out pretty close to "ripped" in the first place, to have a dramatic effect. But I cut it out and put in the clipping file. As if...

If that doesn't work... those airbrush jobs they did in "Meet the Spartans" looked pretty good... except the "abs" kinda jiggled when they ran.

September's 'Muscle and Fitness' also outlines a seven day lean out program.

Hydration is key too your goal, you wanna get cut well as well as gettin the diet cleaner than a nuns chuff this week start glugging the water and lots of it.

Aim to start at 4 litres a day increase it by 500 mls every 2 days and it should start shedding some of that retained water.

DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT TRY GLUGGING IT DOWN 2 LITRES AT A TIME!

Last thing at night before you go to bed give all these Girls mags readers a heart attack and, hush my mouth, have a breakfast cereal with milk if this is within your calorie and macro allowance for the day. Not only will it promote good sleep and muscle repair it will also result in keeping the metabolism revved whilst you sleep.

Uh... Market Days comes around every year, so why the seven day rush?

It is a bit like women that would come to me (back when I was a personal trainer) and ask me to help them look good in a swimsuit two weeks before their cruise when they booked it eight months before.

I usually would quote Star Trek: "Dammit Jim! I'm a doctor, not a magician!"

Getting lean, visible abs, usually means men are down to under 8% bodyfat (about 5% of men in the US). My abs generally show to some degree year-round because I watch my diet very closely. When I really want to get ripped, I get even more strict with diet and cardio for 10 weeks, not 7 days.

Thanks edgey I read the link and this is exactly the type of stuff that my uncle did before competitions, including the hot salt bath. I have a hard time drinking so much water, any help for that?

I'll keep you guys posted on how this plan works, and of course I'm taking some new pics if I reach my goal!icon_cool.gif
