Rush Limbaugh — the famously sexist radio host who got himself into hot water over his criticism of Sandra Fluke — believes that women’s suffrage destroyed the U.S. “When women got the right to vote is when it all went down hill,” Limbaugh said on his radio show Tuesday, “Because that’s when votes started being cast with emotion and maternal instincts that government ought to reflect.” The host tried almost immediately to recover from his blatant sexism, claiming that he had been joking.

Heaven forbid we vote with our emotions. It's not like feelings matter or anything.

I mean yes, there are instances when you have to put your emotions aside in order to make the right but tough decision, but even then you have to take how people will feel about it into account. It's what makes us human.

Why am I putting forth all this thought toward something this moron said?

His brain is literally a hamster on a wheel going "WOMEN SUCK! HONK DOWN WITH THE GAYS HONK GOD IS GREAT HONK"

Besides, he looks like an uncooked ham.

When women got the right to drive and use checkbooks in checkout lines is when it all went downhill. It has nothing to do with their right to vote.

"Rush Limbaugh attacked President Obama today over his support for marriage equality, accusing Obama of leading a "war on traditional marriage" and the Catholic Church while accusing same-sex marriage supporters of wanting "to corrupt the institution." However, polls show that public support for same-sex marriage has been trending upwards over the past several years, including in the Catholic community."

LIMBAUGH: We've arrived at a point where the president of the United States is going to lead a war on traditional marriage. You want to call that winning? Your side is winning when the president has to lead a war on traditional marriage?

    [...]

LIMBAUGH: Obama and people like [caller] are trying to turn traditional institutions on their head. And people like me who are minding their own business all of a sudden have to stand up and defend these traditions and institutions from people like you, and now the president who's waging a war on traditional America.

    [...]

LIMBAUGH: Marriage is a word. It has a specific meaning. And all of a sudden, some people came along and said 'well, we want to change the definition.' No, you don't want to change the definition. You want to corrupt the institution is what you want to do. 'How dare you say that? We don't want to - we want in on the institution.' Well then, marry a woman. Or marry a man. That's what marriage is.

LIMBAUGH: There's no other way to characterize it, Barack Obama is leading a war on gay marriage, just like he's leading a war on the Catholic Church, the war on stay-at-home moms.

    [...]

LIMBAUGH: It's official. Obama supports gay marriage after talks with his wife and daughters, gay service members, and others. Pink smoke coming from the White House chimney. [Premiere Radio Networks, The Rush Limbaugh Show, 5/9/12 via Media Matters]

you're a self-admitted troll, so pardon me for not knowing when you're being facetious or not.

besides, sarcasm doesn't always translate well via text online.

    http://mediamatters.org/video/2012/06/04/rush-we-shouldnt-totally-redo-cultural-standard/185301

Quoting Limbaugh: "If you're going to talk about gay marriage in the context of equal rights, but you're talking about 2.8 not even 3% of the population, do we really want to totally re-do cultural standards established from the beginning of humanity for 2% of the population? No."

The sad fact is that the loud mouthed bigot still ha a show because a good 10% or more of the US population are bigots and crave 'positive reinforcement' for their ideology. Its like a religion with them and Limpballs is their evangelist. I make this observation based on family members who listen to this obnoxious fool for up to 2 or 3 hours a day, they live and breath what this idiot spews out on a daily basis.

Approximately 50% of all voters, regardless of sex, are too fucking stupid to vote intelligently.

Lets not forget that NOW was promoting that men would be obsolete by the end of the 90s.

But then I too am a feminist when feminism supports gender equality for both sexes.
