I always thought that because I was gay that I would be more likely inclined to be liberal, and while that may be true, I find that most of my mindset leans either 50/50 or mostly towards the Conservative side.

Would You Say that you are Liberal or more Conservative or in the middle?

I am liberal when it comes to social issues, but conservative financially. I am also moderate when it comes to education.

I find most self proclaimed conservatives (republicans) are anything but, and share many of the traits I dispise with most self proclaimed liberals (democrats). Both want far more control over our lives than any self respecting "free" person should accept so I claim neither.

Liberal with the veggies and meats, conservative with the sugars dairy and grains, and moderate with the cardio.

Did you mean the underlined to read liberal? It doesn't make sense to me written as conservative.

Very liberal, which I credit to having hippy parents and spending time living in France and Canada.

Liberal, as were my parents. But also all Republicans, mainly because of the local political dynamics of my home town.

Once I moved away from home, paying more attention to national politics, and as the Republican Party itself began a radical shift to the Right, I did the unthinkable and began to vote Democratic.

Actually the Republicans were always Right in the 20th Century, only exceeded in extremism by the Dixiecrats (southern Democrats), who have now morphed into the national Republican Party. I just didn't initially pay that much attention outside our local politics, and never saw how bigoted national Republicans were, and still are, and tools of big business.

So my core values never really changed, liberal even before I realized I was gay and came out. I just came to recognize that I was playing for the wrong political team, and that Democrats represent me better (if not perfectly).

I'm not sure. I related to a Jewish boss I had who was socially liberal and economically conservative, but I still find I am independent.

I consider myself Liberal predominantly, but there are issues where I can be more conservative.
