So I'm 31 today, and I'm putting thought into my birthday wish. I have some ideas, but was curious what you guys might suggest.

So, what would you wish for if you were me? icon_question.gif

I'd wish for activities that don't include typing stuff online. icon_razz.gif

Given your varied interests, it might be presumptuous suggesting a wish or resolution that implies some knowledge or achievement you have not yet attained, but here goes: a wish for the time to fully understand the "God Particle", it's role in the universe, and the significance of its discovery. Happy Birthday!

Having read your profile, I'd wish for a getaway vacation. Reading it made me want to run away into the woods for a few days, or to a very quite seaside resort with very little contact with civilization. Preferably with a guy, make love all night, sleep in late, drag our feet getting dressed, drink cocktails together and toast the sunset, repeat. Seriously.

    And HAPPY BIRTHDAY! icon_biggrin.gif

If I were you, that would mean I am as smart as you... so I would wish to build a robot that could pass the turning test. icon_cool.gif

What to do on your birthday? Reading your profile (a great one, btw) I'd say spend it with friends - - - go running the Lyon Street steps In Pac Heights or Russian Hill steps in SF, grab lunch someplace and wind up the day at the Naked Yoga class in the Mission. Happy Birthday, whatever you do!

I just wanted to say thanks very much, guys, for the birthday wishes and suggestions. I noticed there's a pattern to them, and while I would love to meet the right guy, I think I'm going to focus a lot this coming year on relaxing a bit. icon_lol.gif

I think I'll be taking more time to be outside, at least when that allows. I'm taking up some new hobbies that allow for a little more creativity. I'll try to make it out to Toronto, haha. I did actually get a chance to run the Lyon Street steps today though. It reminded me of a scavenger hunt I did for an offsite at a PE job I had years ago. Good times.

And I'm confident that I won't be wishing to be 30 again nearly as much as enjoying all of my thirties - truth be told, I've been looking forward to this and the next decade more than any other time in my life. But then again I'm sort of weird that way.

Thanks paulflexes, socalfitness, Art_Deco, the ever-entertaining McGay, RSportsguy, the much-loved meninlove, WickedRyan, JR_RJ, Machina, Kingmo, the bespeedoed mower HndsmKansan, JockBod48, dustin_K_tx, ChristianUSA, of course dontknowwhy, sporty_g and turtleneckjock. It was surprising to see so many of my favorite people from the forums posting here - that's a great present.

And JP. You're an amazing guy - thanks for being a friend.

No? I had a little bit of a hard time too, and realized I don't always know what's best for me, so that sort of inspired the post. And it was helpful, I think. There are a lot of good heads on these forums.

You're most welcome. Hope you had a great birthday. You're obviously a great guy and a prime example of one of the best of the best R.J. has going for it. Glad you're here!

Well now that sounds really interesting. To be fair, in my case it was helpful to see that I can be a little . . . tightly wound, ha. But it sounds like you know what you want.
