i'll be there to see the scotland yard gospel choir sunday afternoon.
btw, don't get intimidated into paying $7 or whatever it is they try to shake you down for at the gates. anything you give is a 'donation,' because they are tying up public streets and sidewalks to have a for-profit faire.
i'm going to give my money to the store/restaurant/bar owners who have to pay thousands of dollars to set up booths at the fair and if i like the music and i have a few bucks in my pocket at the end of it i'll drop some cash in their buckets on the way out. [yeah, i used to live in that 'hood and got pissed off when i'd have to squeeze thru their gates and their 'volunteers' would try to get money from me when all i wanted to do was cross halsted so i could go to the grocery store or laundromat.]
that all being said, i am recommitting myself to a diet regimen so i can walk thru it next year shirtless.
