I'd have more if they'd last in the house more than a few days a week... I like them a lot, but have to vary how I eat them. icon_cool.gif

The latest medical research asserts that eggs don't negatively impact cholesterol levels as previously thought.

I would eat eggs daily if I had my own chicken coop where the chickens are free to roam and get to touch the actual earth surface. I'm not into commercially produced eggs. The chickens are treated worst than shit.

Free range isn't all its cracked up to be (bad pun) the chickens have a thrid of their beaks cut off to stop them killing each other. Just saying.

Fried egg is my favourite. But will eat them in any form.

    Myth.
Eat lots of almonds, oatmeal, olive oil, and take fish oil capsules.
    Drink lots of water.
Also, do lots of cardio (10-15min/day) at least until you break a good sweat, get your heart rate up to "target".

You should be able to eat as many as you want and not have a problem.

Deviled eggs are the best, or two sunny side up on a plate of Huevos Rancheros. Yum.

3-4 raw in my protein shake in the morning, same thing at night. I just made some whole wheat pasta and after it was cooked and still hot I cracked a couple raw eggs in there and it gets to the consistency of like a thick gooey sauce.

I used to do that... hmm... I wonder if you can get the same quality protein from cooking eggs on a double boiler on low heat, killing the bacteria?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biotin_deficiency

"...deficiencies can be caused by consuming raw egg whites over a period of months to years. Egg whites contain high levels of avidin, a protein that binds biotin strongly. When cooked, avidin is partially denatured and becomes somewhat non-toxic. A recent study[1] found that activity in fried, poached and boiled (2 min) egg white was 33, 71 and 40% of the activity in raw egg white respectively."

Eating raw eggs not only has the biotin def. risk but also the concept behind it is virtually unfounded.
Eggs are the complete protein (every other source of protein is compared to them as a standard) containing al essential non-amino acids. Cooking does not affect the amino acids, and instead just denatures teh proteins. If anything, cooking makes the protein easier to absorb. It might damage some of teh other nutrients I guess, but that how I see the rest of it.

I know, I'd already read that, but don't really care.
