Kewl! Hope the tires are permanently inflated. They charged me an extra $50 for that, but I thought it was a good idea.

Yep, and it was an extra $50.

But it was worth it on the second day, when I was pulling burrs out of the tires and it sprung a leak. The gooky stuff foamed up around the leak immediately, and didn't even lose a single pound of air.

And that was the day before taking it to the mountain.

    NICE!!!

Let me know if you need any trail advice. I've ridden every mountain bike trail in the Phoenix area numerous times.

(BTW, remove those reflectors and that kick-stand pronto unless you don't mind looking like a noob!)

I actually bought it more for commuting to/from work than for trails, and ride to work before the sun comes up, so the reflectors stay. I considered taking off the kick stand, but it's actually quite handy. If others don't like it, they can go fuck themselves. icon_wink.gif

Well, you know what they say...once you go black, you mix it with charcoal gray.

    Or something like that. icon_razz.gif

There's still lots of adjustments to be made. So far the longest ride has only been 25 miles, so nothing's had time to get too bad just yet, but I"ll definitely be aware of the numbness and adjust as necessary. Thanks. icon_smile.gif

Update: Had a flat today, and it popped when I tried to air it up (presumably a pinch between tire and rim - was in a hurry). When it popped, the gooky stuff went EVERYWHERE! I laughed my fucking as off. icon_lol.gif

The dude at the bike shop was awesome, though. He only charged labor, since they've been having a rash of bad tubes lately; and he put the gooky stuff in the tire for free this time. icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, I got a glass cut once when I was using that stuff. It went off like a spiral fountain. In my shorts, my hair, my glasses...

I used to live where the road shoulders were heavily infested with goat heads (tribulus). Even with kevlar liners and green goop, you'd average a flat a week.

My roadie's got tubed tires and the Florida grass burrs aka sand burrs go through them so I put in tire liners and haven't had an issue since.
