I enjoyed it, I watched it over the Holiday Weekend.

Its more classic disney than pixar.

    Dear Merida,

Take a lesson from the other Disney Redhead, Ariel: Never trust a spell from a witch you just met.

    Love,
    Everyone

    Spoiler alert!

Sort of , I thought the whole idea of what she did to her mother was so terrible ,I couldn't get over that! But then cried at the end when it all made right. So it got to me , and was really well done.

The movie was great! Pixar consistently delivers top notch movies and Brave is no different. The animation is incredible.

I was so worried about this movie. After the Pixar fail of Cars 2, they had to make this movie amazing in order to bring themselves back to the top. And all I can say is that it surpassed my expectations. It was AMAZING! <3

The animation was lovely so much depth. The texture of the fabric on the clothes and Merida's hair was just beautiful. I also loved the music. It was a sweet, simple story. I loved the witch she reminded me of Mad Madam Mim from the Sword in the Stone. Overall great movie.

    nothing makes her "brave"
    SPOILER ALERT

she turned her mom into a bear causing most of the conflict in the movie and then her mom kills the evil bear. What did she actually do to become the "hero" of this story? icon_rolleyes.gif

It got great reviews so I thought the story would be better than that. She's not the first rebellious princess or lead female character either.

    She's no Katniss icon_lol.gif

Saw it and was really disappointed. Not a male hero in site. By the time the credits were ready to roll I knew this movie just had to be directed/produced/written etc by a woman.

Chick Flic. If you're into that than go for it but I'm an action guy at heart so it really sucked from my perspective.

Graphics were ok, though. Gotta give Pixar credit for that.

    Spoiler alert...

I thought it was good, and the soundtrack was incredible. However I felt like it needed more.

For the most part, the protagonist was her own antagonist. There wasn't really a Maleficent, Ursula, Dr Facilier awesome villain that she had to overcome. There's one "villainous" character that get's about 4 minutes of screen time. More comedy would have been much appreciated as well. I liked it more than Cars, but it certainly left me wanting more.

Are you kidding? The only likable characters were the dad and the three little sons.

That comes across as pretty darn misogynistic. Though I am not sure that is what you intended, so...

    Lets evaluate your expectations, however;
    1. The movie was acclaimed for NOT having a male hero. In fact, the movie poster is just a woman. it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise.
    2. You're an action movie guy, and went to an animated film--- did you expect Bruce Willis to suddenly blow up the castle and a fast car chase to occur starring The Rock? (though, that would have been pretty awesome if it did happen).

I struggle to see what you expected the movie to be? Braveheart but animated?
