Does anyone know of a legitimate gay professional network? I'm thinking something like a gay linkedin would be awesome. I know there are local lgbt professional groups in most cities, but I am looking for something more general.

Not sure, but curious about the "why?" A professional network would indicate it wouldn't be for dating at all, but why limit professional networking to gays, unless you're only looking for a gay-owned or gay-centric workplace.

One of the best things about being gay is you have an automatic network with other gay folks in your field. Work it to your advantage.

^ I agree with this. I think being able to link up with other working gays would not only be good for making professional connections, but help to shed light on companies' true environment for gays, etc.

Thanks for the suggested sites. I'll check them out. icon_smile.gif

Since Sexual Orientation is not a federally protected employment right, gay bosses and owners should discriminate against straights and only hire gays.

If we can't have gay marriage can we at least have equal employment rights.

Dot429.com but I don't see the point of professional networks since I'm
    In a highly competitive profession.

says it's the world's largest GLBTA network. Any idea what the 'A' stands for?
    Asexual? Alternative?

Avocado? to go with the Gay, Lettuce, Bacon, Tomato.

I think it's time we expanded further to be more inclusive:
GLBTA+SBOM.....to add the Straight But Open-Minded to our network.

It's "Allies", which would include straight but open minded.
