I thought this new show was very funny at times, current, and that the characters are intriguing, layered, and surprisingly relatable.

If you watched the first season, what were your thoughts on i) each of the main characters ii) well, anything else about the show- the soundtracks were often pretty cool imo =]

    Starters:

    - What are your thoughts on Ray as a character? I find him to be intelligent but unmotivated. Would you take a chance on a guy you potentially really cared for and enjoyed being with after finding out that he wasn't at a point in his life where he had any money/success/great place/great car etc, and didn't know what he wanted to do with his life yet? Are those things deal breakers for you? Why/why not?

    - I thought the episode 'Boys' was written in an oddly disjointed but somewhat subdued theatrical tone, almost like Waiting For Godot- light. I later found out that the show had a guest director that day. Was kind of unsettling at first, but i re-watched it and enjoyed the honesty that was portrayed. Booth's emotionally vulnerable revelation resonated with a rare authenticity.

    - Jessa. I love her character, so bold, daring, open, non-judgemental, insightful into the characters of others, yet tragically not so much to herself. I'd really like to see some evolution in her life and self-awareness and life motivation at some point, she shows an unbridled potential IMO =]

    - The episode 'Another Mans Trash' was really hard to swallow as believable at first blush, as Hanna, although very charming and unwittingly funny, is a physically average, slightly plump and plain looking girl on the show who manages to seduce these very attractive men. The camel's back almost broke when she pulled the impromptu sexscapde with the gorgeous doctor, but, upon further reflection, he was clearly lonely and she added a spark of temporary colour to his otherwise clinically sterile monochrome life- and once I realised this, it immediately made complete and utter sense, but i slightly detested that this had to be rationalised in the first place, and the reasons as to why.

On All Fours, IMO, has probably been one of the best episodes so far- I'll write more about it/why next time as I'm tired and ready to put my black arse to sleep (or at least stream a movie whilst drifting off in bed).

I hope that next week's finale is not anti-climatic in anyway shape or form, it has a lot to live up to after all the episodes hitherto.

    Here's hoping.

Catchya soon, my loyal readers! icon_cool.gif

I've seen every episode of S1 and S2, I really like it.

I am not sure I can get into the whole analysis thing though!

I love this show so much. It reminds me of SATC a little bit. only that this show is way better & more realistic than SATC.

first season made feel awkward. second season was better. & i think the third season is the best so far.

love Jessa. she's my favorite character. love her sense of (dark) humor & and just how sarcastic and downright mean she can get.

I like Hannah even tho she's kind of annoying sometimes and she only thinks about herself (but really who doesn't.)

I still don't know if I like Shoshanna. I disliked her in the first season, but I kind of liked her nervous breakdown in the third one.

& basically the more I watch this show the more I hate Marnie.

Ray is boring & stupid. & Adam is okay I guess, even tho he's kind of crazy & violent (didn't like him at first)

I forget the name of the episodes but my favorite one was the one where Hannah and Elijah do coke and go totally overboard with it. & second favorite the one about Jessa in rehab & Kim fckn Gordon was a guest star.

    can you say hipster?
