Good for her, so well said. All the best to both of them! Congrats on their 17th wedding anniversary. My parents this year will be celebrating 65 years of marriage. Even though they accept me, not sure if they support marriage equality. We still have a long way to go.

So refreshing (and extremely rare) to have heterosexual black people support something like marriage equality and gay rights. From my observation, the majority of heterosexual blacks are some of the most homophobic bible thumping Christians always telling gays how their lives are full if sin.

Guess they choose to ignore the part about slave ownership which is abundantly made clear throughout the bible.
