Congrats to him and his man. Maybe there'll be some discount nights coming up at the Eastern Block (owned by AC's BF).

Credit where credit's due. And the dollar goes to.....

BuddyinNYC for calling it on this past thread about Anderson coming out http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/2493810?forumpage=1 when he saidI'm betting that this is in preparation of announcing in the near future that he and his BF will be getting married.

Here are a few words about Eastern Bloc from various Yelp reviews:

    "dank and sleazy" - Paesan Z. -

"...New York's underbelly looking for sex. ...this place gave me the creeps. Granted, it was the fun kind of creeps... it felt dirty." - Keith T. -

"Full of sweaty, horny, half-naked guys..." - Alice L. -

Sounds like my kind of place! Have you been there?

Good news that makes me happy.

Although I might fault the news item's wording. "Long-term live-in boyfriend"?

I'm not sure I'm familiar with that term. Isn't that simply a partner? Evidently Anderson Cooper thinks so, because he's marrying him.

And perhaps this news source has inside information, but what makes the other guy the "live-in" and not Cooper? I'm sorry, but this is so full of stereotypes.

I'm not married, can't be here in Red Florida, but neither am I a "live-in". And my partner isn't, either. We're simply partners who live together as equals. "Live-in" sounds so much like a live-in housekeeper, or some other menial.

"Yes, I recently switched to a live-in boyfriend arrangement. I had a daytime boyfriend before him, but that was inconvenient to my schedule. I find the live-in arrangement is much more satisfactory, he's available 24 hours on-call now, none of these annoying delays in response time."

Ben is a hot motherfucker. I wonder if the picture on the website of a guy getting his ass eaten out is Ben and Coop????

I guess the article should have used the word "Fiancee".

Live-in boyfriend has been the socially acceptable term for straight people for a long time. Partner implies the inability to get married, fiance implies a proposal that has not necessarily happened. Live-in does not imply one moved into the others apartment. It is a more easily written form of cohabitating... And i think its disgusting that the queer thinks he's allowed to come out and get married the same year as if living an open secret for decades hasn't hurt the gay community. Him not allowing his personal life to come up in interviews was detrimental to himself, his boyfriend, the gay community, the nation and his credibility as a journalist (a daytime talk show does not help that last one either). Gays are now 'in', so he can be gay.

    This.

I have no respect for a man who had the oppurtunity to bonify himself but chose not to.

That article lost all sense of credibility by citing the Enquirer.

My guess is, he's pushed the boundries that he is comfortable with pushing.

I don't think marrying his partner is going to happen very soon.. maybe eventually, but not soon.

Yeah, I was going to say, has anyone considered the original source?
