Jeff represents in my opinion, everything wrong with gay men in todays society. He's self centered, arrogant, and narcissistic. While I respect his work and motivation, as a person I think he's pretty vile.
I mean, we're all vain to some extent, but some things are just better left unsaid; when he was looking for a new assistant, he said something to the extent of, "we're vain; we hire the first pretty person who walks in the door".
Perhaps he should have rephrased person for "white male". While there's nothing intrinsically flawed with this life outlook and mentality, I find it a rather one-dimensional, shallow, and borderline racist.
No one can fault Jeff, it is his company and he can hire and fire whoever he wants, on any basis he wants, but it's pretty obvious that he surrounds himself with and is uncomfortable around people who don't look like him, in exception for the maid.
And no, I don't find Jeff or his partner remotely attractive. Both have a somewhat effeminate quality about them that's a turnoff in my opinion.
