Any suggestions on a gay cruise where my six straight friends won't feel left out?

Is a Straight friendly gay cruise anything like a "straight" friendly gay rest area?

Just go on a Disney Cruise and you'll hit both sides of the mark equally.

    Peace,

Went on a "straight" cruise with 15 other gay friends. I think the whole ship knew we were gay within 30 minutes of boarding. (Those gay boys just can't party quietly, or without involving anyone around them.) We met like six other gay couples on the cruise and a LOT of the ship staff that were gay. (The entire cast of the stage show was gay, and there were some very cute guys - they tossed a note to us, since we took up the entire front row - during one of the shows to meet up with them after.)
So, a regular cruise can be fun if enough gay guys go together and make it their own "gay" cruise - which would be perfect to include the hetro friends as well.

We took an Atlantis cruise where there were a couple of different gay guys who'd brought their straight posses (men and women) with them. Our attitude, and that of everyone I encountered was if they're comfortable with us, we're comfortable with them.

I know this isn't what you asked but may I ask why you don't go with your straight friends on a straight cruise? As has been discussed on other threads you pay a premium to go on a gay cruise, mainly for the entertainment and being among all gay passengers, so if your friends aren't really looking for that, why would they pay between a 75-100% markup just to accompany you?

The best situation would be to do a non-chartered gay group cruise that's on a regularly scheduled ship. No, the entertainment won't be 'gay' oriented, but your friends would have a much better time and there is little to no extra premium fare charge.

Gay cruises do have their perks: no kids, party atmosphere, easy hook-ups. Just depends on what you want on your vacation.

My experience last year was that the gays that work on the ship couldn't really fraternize ( probably an epic spell fail!) with the passengers, much less really get dwn to any "nitty gritty". That didn't matter as much as the fact that it really felt like I was the only gay passenger on the whole fracking boat. Nobody even came to the little LGBTQIIA meet and greet. Wtf? I was just thinking their might be a cruiseline that, not catered to,but was known to be a lil more mixed.

Every gay cruise I have been on had a collection of straight friends along for the ride with their gay friends, and they seemed to have a ball. Everyone made them feel very welcome --- long as they didn't flaunt their lifestyle icon_wink.gif

    ha...like what you did there.
Girls from work begged me to go see Magic Mike with them and I told them I didn't like watching them flaunt their lifestyle.
