Do you sometimes feel this way? (introversion/extroversion)

This may sound like a silly question...

There are times where I have a strong and sudden urge to go and hang out with friends, and just be around people in general. But other times, I'd rather be left alone to do my own stuff (video games, watching tv, internet). Like yesterday, my friends invited me to a party but I just didn't feel like going so I didn't. But today, I wanted to go somewhere so me and my bro went to the mall to do some shopping.

It feels strange, like I don't have control of my mind and what I wanna do. It feels like I just flip flop back and forth between states of introversion and extroversion. I mainly classify myself as an introvert, but like what I said earlier, sometimes I just get a random urge to go outside and do something (which leans more towards extroversion).

I do feel like that to. It's normal we're humans and we need to interact with other humans but we also need time to ourselves every now and then.

I'm the same way. Most days I really want to hang out with a small group of friends. After like three or four days of hanging out in a row I will really need a day just to myself.

Both me and Ravco are like that. We each have our own rooms in our house where we retire to each day to recharge and recenter ourselves. We both consider ourselves fortunate that we're introverted together, meaning that we can recharge with each other, instead of needing to be completely apart to reset.

You're probably not completely introverted. You like to interact with people, but in metered doses with definite beginnings and endings that allow you to control the amount of social stimulus you receive.
