Would it offend thee if RJ suddenly attracted more straight (non homophobic, respectful, etc) males joined RJ?

Inspired of course by the females joining RJ site thread....but also because of all the straights that were attracted to the online gay prostate cancer group I belonged to. In that case, they came cuz gay males talk much more frankly about the problems of PC than straight men do...I gather.

but back to the question. If straight guys started showing up and just participating, how would you feel about it?

I would not support that. Can't we gays just have our own exclusive site? Almost every other group does, whether sexual or merely hobbies.

But what is this gay prostate cancer group? Obviously of interest to me. Is it worthwhile?

Provided no homophobia and hetero sex pics, fine.
AND no throttling of our 'lifestyle' in any shape or form.

No, er, I mean, yes I wouldn't like it. There are plenty of places to talk fitness with straight guys - bodybuilding.com, etc. The first word in the logo is "gay."

yourname2000 saidIf they respected our sexuality, I actually think straight guys could add value to the site. Certainly their bodies are the same, so fitness and health advice would be similar.

Their bodies are the same, but not their sexual frame of reference, which also becomes a subjective factor in terms of goals. Furthermore, health advice is not identical, gay men having unique health concerns that are not common among straight men.

This is like parsing some sacred text, lol. To me, it looks like "gay" is an adjective modifying each of fitness, health and life. So you gotta be gay.icon_wink.gif

It's probably a moot point, since I don't think they'd come even if they were invited.

You should google realjock ads. Apparently a lot of straight guys are pretty mad that the ads are showing up on their fav sites. So, I think you have a good point there.

If anything, we'd be accused of "recruiting."
