There are many stats out there that indicate about 50%, if not less, of intimate couples practice anal sex. It is something we see so much in gay adult industry, so it must be something that is fascinated and fantasized often among the gay men, yet only less than a majority seem to actually embody the experience.

Why do you guys think anal sex is so widely watched, yet hardly ever practiced in gay community? No judgements here, anything can be a good answer here ;)

My boyfriend and I have anal sex. I thought most gay couples did. For me I am usually the bottom and it took getting used to and finding each other's comfort zones, but it's the ultimate act and it's mind blowing the connection we feel. It is making love. Everything else feels more like just kinky foreplay.

Omg, have you ever experimented with sex? There is so much more than just plugging a man's ass to good sex, and making love. A man's body is a landscape of beauty, mystery and places to experience the most intimate moments... the ass is fine, but this is far from the best anyone is missing!

I love doing that with my man. I know all gay couples don't but I feel they are denying themselves something really really awesome.

OK that made me laugh. I've had that thought before going down on my partner. No matter how well he cleans or rinses, there's always gonna be some microscopic poop molecules still hanging around down there.

Then I mentally shrug and eat his ass like a cannibal.

I am very much an ass man so I enjoy everything about it. Proper douching and washing are a given whatever area youre playing in, ladies.... I don't know that everyone is built to get the most out of bottoming. I think everyone's physiology is different enough that there isn't always enough pleasure nerves around the prostate to make taking another man inside an overwhelmingly pleasurable experience.

now we have 3 things in common

i suspect that the activities in porn for straight people also wouldn't match the actual couple stats. because alot of other things that can be the main event in real life just seem like foreplay in video...because.....people think of sex as about procreation....so the fuck of some type must be present or people feel like they didn't get their full package

The studies you cited reported sexual activity by gay men "during their most recent sexual event."

That doesn't mean that fewer than 50% of gay men practice anal sex. It means that anal is not what we do every time we have sex. Which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

hhmm. i dont know about those stats. i dont personally know of any gay men who absolutely dont do anal. i know a few who prefer other things but the odds of 50% i think are slim. prob just a headline study

Not having anal sex in someone's most recent encounter doesn't mean that they do not participate in it at all.

I know straight men that do anal
