Ok recently I have seen some bizarre people in the gym. I am not sure if the heat is getting to people or what. I am just curious if this is happening in other parts or maybe there is something in the water.

For example...a guy was working out in the gym with his sunglasses on...i was not sure what to even think. Was he cruising? Did he have eye health issues? Was he trying to be cool?

Honestly it kinda creeped me out...let me know whats going on...icon_cool.gif

I can't answer for the guy you saw but I have had to do that myself a few times. I have terrible vision, 20/400, and if I forget my regular glasses I will use my prescription sunglasses to get me through until I have my regular glasses.

I've seen several guys lately working out in wrestling singlets at my gym. Granted, it's a predominantly gay gym in San Francisco, but it still strikes me as a little jarring. Unfortunately, it's never the ones I would want to see in a singlet... icon_confused.gif

Sunglasses generally mean leave me alone. I have bifocal sunglasses and I will wear them if I forget my other glasses. Sometimes, the gyms have so much sunlight I wear my shades.

At 3-4pm in my gym, there is a very greasy guy who wears jorts and a wife beater. Not a good look, especially on this guy.

here's my take: those guys who wear the UA or Nike compression shorts to work out in. they are underwear folks. geez. and usually are used by those guys i don't want to see in them. Yikes.

Perhaps the guy with the shades has photophobia?

I actually had to wear my darkest sunglasses to the gym two weeks ago after having my eyes dilated. I felt like an idiot but luckily it was during the day when not many people were there. icon_cool.gif

jorts = jean shorts, cut-off shorts, sometimes with a cuff or hem?
Google Image the word if you are brave

I use shades because I d double eye cataract operation and lens implant. Bright lights hurt, I no longer can control the amount of light entering eye, that part has been sucked out cus it was gunked up . I also have astigmatism, light defuses into starry burst of blinding white., cars with halogen lights are the worst problem driving at night.

I have also been stuck in the awkward situation of wearing my sunglasses inside after forgetting my regular glasses. Luckily, never to the gym though.

This is true. The same for people with ipods. Ask either type if you can work in and you'll see what I mean.

ugly old guy work out in tiny underwear boxer and trying to do splits. It's hurt to watch and I had to leave that area without finishing my reps.
