For a year, I lived. I became a better man. My love for this country grew, and my purpose in life became clearer. I am now headed back east--home, to New York.

I will be a father someday, and if I teach nothing else to my children, I hope I'm able to instill in them a love of freedom and peace. I hope I'm able to share with them some of the lessons this year taught me. I share with you, now, some of the images I will never forget.

What a joy it was to be able to meet you and hear your story during your travels, Tino. I'm so proud and grateful that you're becoming an American, and I cannot wait to see what kind of father you'll be. Attentive, ethical, and funny come to mind; you're a good guy.

    Chow and congratulations, homie.

Cool! I'm headed to the San Fransisco Volcanic Fields this weekend with a fellow RJ'er...hiking the lava tubes.

I'm glad your trip was a success, and again, it was great to meet you when you were here! icon_biggrin.gif

Congratulations. You have seen so much more than those of us who have made that trip by car. Is there another CNN interview coming now that you have completed your journey?

Thank you for that. I often forget just how much of the US isn't LA, Chicago or NY.

    May the roads rise.

I'll be thinking of you the next time I go through that intersection in Richmond VA.

Seriously, I saw Tinos' video on FB and saw that pic of the SFVF and my interest was immediately piqued.
