    Hello,

I go to the gym 4 times a week, and I've decided to add something new: I want to try diving (as in jumping off a board, not scuba).

I can swim OK, although I haven't been swimming for years. But I have never dived before. I want to get to the point where I can confidently jump from the 10m high board.

So, where do I start? Is there a particular technique? How good a swimmer do I have to be? Are there any books or websites anyone can recommend?

    Andrew

I don't really have anything of substance to add except that I am also thinking about diving.

If I were you I'd get a coach (that's what I plan to do) because I am terrified that I'll break my neck or something and end up paralyzed from the neck down. I don't think a book or website can teach you the proper technique, if there is one, the way a professional can.

    Be safe.

I spoke to a friend @ the gym today - actually my personal trainer. He's going to give me some diving lessons icon_smile.gif
