I'm not sure if whether this is proof that New York has the most gullible rubes or the slickest con men. It may be that this enterprise requires both.

    http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/water-only-cafe-york-molecule-200935488.html

"A water-only café serving filtered New York City tap water is facing a wave of criticism for its overpriced, artisanal H20.
Molecule, which recently opened in Manhattan's East Village, charges $2.50 per 16-ounce glass of water treated with its custom-built, $25,000 purifier."

Don't think so. Are there any gay bars without a liquor-license?

I thought this was going to be about a bar with a wave pool and water slide.

JackBlair69 saidYou're also paying for the ambiance and experience.

How is it different than charging $14 for a martini?

Exactly. I think the novelty is kinda cool.

    What jerk...er...ripoff!

New York City water is well known as some of the best in the country, or even the world.

Or I could provide a $75,000 filter: Me with a tea strainer and they pay me $75,000 a year to do it.

I would actually go to that. Maybe.

But gays would never to to a bar that didn't have fancy super sugary alcoholic drinks.

That is cheaper than I pay for water at some of the clubs I go to. They charge 4 bucks for a bottle water.

I wish people understood that water on ice is better than a dumb water bottle.

New York City does have good water..

Lots of reservoirs upstate that feed the city thru a 100 yr old aqueduct system. Gotta love east coast infrastructure
