For a first hangout/date and we thoroughly enjoyed it, I am just trying to think of other things that could be enjoyable that are cost free.

Btw it rained and we shared an umbrella for a bit icon_smile.gif

    Any suggestions are welcomeicon_smile.gif

I love talking dates. I'm not a big "eating in front of him" fan because I have wheat and lactose intolerance issues, so I'm VERY picky about food and it gives the wrong impression . (that I'm high maintenance, which I'm not). Movies are out too unless you're going to sit in the back row and molest each other.

I'd suggest the county fair? Rides are fun together, booths, games, etc.

Aww very nice ! I hope your consequent dates will go just as well icon_smile.gif

Other things you could do: hang out in a park on a sunny day under a tree or on the grass, look at the stars at night, go for a swim at the beach or in a lake if you are fortunate to be near either, go jogging together or do some other outdoor sport or exercise together.

I'm a fan of doing errands together. Sounds simple and boring but it makes whatever onerous task you have to do anyway more fun and you get to see the "real" side of a guy pretty quickly. For example, if you spend all of your weekend working on cars or arranging flowers, and he doesn't want to go to the auto parts store or greenhouse with you, they it probably isn't going to work out in the long run!

I'm a big fan of actually doing something on a date. Challenge yourselves to a climb, a run, cycling, something where you can see each other in action. Then afterward, you can kick back after a shower, and grab a bite to eat and have fun talking and laughing about whatever you did earlier.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I can't have gluten, dairy, soy and nuts. I usually try to call ahead and pre-order my meal so all the painful detail can be handled before we sit down for dinner.
