For some reason, everytime I do my abs, it feels like I just got prison shanked for like 10 seconds, and then passes. I do a complete cycle of different exercises dealing with this pain during it, and then afterward (including the next day) I feel nothing. I don't feel this way when doing other exercises.. WTH am I doing wrong here? icon_confused.gif

At my gym, they have this little corner dedicated to abs, so I basically use those machines and some off machine exercises at home. They are basically crunch machines, and after doing a set, I feel the firey pain from hell. Anyway to curve that?

You arms are used daily for moving things around. You back is used daily to move things around. Your chest is used every day to support your arms and back as you move things around. Your legs are used daily to move YOU around.

Abs and obliques are the most underworked muscles in the body. Of course you're going to feel pain while working them. They're not used to it. icon_wink.gif

Well you might not be doing the exercise with correct form. Also abs won't protect against prison shankings, the last guy I shanked was ripped and he went down just like the rest.

I would rather having stabbing pains than the nausea I get from working abs icon_sad.gif

The last guy I shanked flexed his abs really hard and prevented my blade from penetrating his abs.

Moral of the story: Don't use dull blades.
