If it is my dog vs a random human, I'm saving my dog.

If it is a random dog vs a random human, I'd save the human.

Definitely the dog. But...dog drowning? That just don't seem quite right. I've never come across a dog that couldn't swim.

What can they say ? It's not like you killed someone... Legally, they can't say anything about that. There might be an article about you in the news and a few awkward looks in the streets following that event, but heh, Lady Gaga get that everyday and she's still alive !

I'd save my dog. I'm not saying it would be the right decision, but that would probably be my first reflex in that kind of situation, under panic and emotion and stuff.

Ughhh but still, you'd have to live with that forever and that would be kinda tough...either way, I'd save MY dog first...

this thread reminds me of a recent article .
There was a Chinese guy jumping into the river to save a family those who have just had a boat accident.
He successfully saved that family and then he died because of drowning.
That family left there immediately and said that they didnt care about the death of that guy.

Didn't even have to think twice: my dog.

Edit: and if it was a random dog, I would still save the dog.

    Uhm, my dog...

Every time one of those damn Sarah McLachlan commercials comes on and you see the decrepit dog in some box in an alley I nearly start crying my eyes out and then I picture it being my dog and actually do start crying...so yeah, there's no way I wouldn't save my puppy if she were drowning.

I have yet to see a full commercial of that. I can't bear it for more than a second icon_sad.gif

I think Sarah once said in an interview that she changes the channel when it comes on too, haha

Greyhounds can't swim, they sink like rocks. Oh, they paddle like an Olympian but being all muscle and bone and tiny paws (great on track surface but don't move much water) they sink like a rock

    As to the question:
    I don't care if it's cheating, I'm saving both!

I WANT to say that I'd save the human. Can't be sure unless actually faced with the situation and I hope that never happens!
