Not have punched my older brother in the face. I didn't mean to hurt him that day and give him a black eye and bloody nose according to him. I'm not really violent

    Easy.

I'd go back waaay back into my childhood and given myself a football to play with. Or some other way to get myself into sports. That should take care of my problems today.

If I could go back with the knowledge I have now, I'd come out of the closet in high school and kick any fucker's ass who had a problem with it...including family.

If going back would mean going back to my previous mindsets as well, then I'd do nothing different.

For the most part, if I could turn back time, I'd do a lot of things the same way. One area where I'd make improvements would be in some of my interpersonal relationships. I would like to have spent more time with the good people in my life - and done more things with them. Conversely, I'd like to have spent NO time with a few of the others I knew - - - - people who didn't advance my life at all. By that I mean a few guys who were not bad people really, but they were more or less users - who attached themselves to me and enjoyed all that I could do for - or give to them............while offering me little or nothing in return. Over time I've corrected that problem, and I spend all my free time with only the people who bring me happiness.

I'd have corrected the blown opportunities I didn't jump on, like:

    - finishing that father-son camping trip I took at 12 after stepping barefoot on the sea urchin
    - befriending all the junior high bullies who carried me on their shoulders cheering when I finally struck back
    - starting lifting in middle school
    - losing my virginity at least several years sooner
    - going to the better law school
    - going to the better business school
    - going for the Broadway musical audition callback
    - appearing in more Japanese commercials
    - dating 26 year old Marc Jacobs (not to mention several others)
    - being a synchophant to Denise Rich
    - working for Jerry Della Femina in the '80s
    - working for Roy Black in the '90s

At least I'm finalizing a book with a collaborator who secured an appointment through a connection to pitch a deal at a major New York publishing house. It's never too late to finally realize you should make the most of your opportunities and seize the moment.

I kind of wish this too. I think I went to small, private high school with a generally decent set of people (mostly liberally minded, surprisingly thoughtful teenagers) and I don't really have a lot of regrets, but I do think I could have done a lot of good if I'd been openly gay. Interestingly, most of the anti-gay rhetoric in the school came from the top-down (it was a catholic school), which most students had little appetite for, and I think it could have been a chance to have a good discussion about gay issues... but I wasn't brave enough. oh well.

Not much at all.. I think that I would have started working out seriously/regularly in the gym as soon as it was safe for a growing dude to do so without harming the growth and development.

Assuming I knew then what I know now?

I would have just left them all behind.

I'd set time back to lunch this afternoon. In a kind of loop, if possible. It was delicious icon_smile.gif

Ouch, this question hurts. It makes me think of missed opportunities.... So afraid to fail....

Still, I don't think I'd change a thing. I like that I have a sordid past with big ups and downs, and I'm confident in what I'm doing with my life, and that I'm making the difference I want to make in the world.

I think I'd only have regrets if I felt like life was passing me by.

Not partied in high school, and maybe less in college, and focused on getting my degrees, career and finances squared away by now... icon_mad.gificon_sad.gif

Tell my Husband "I love you" one more time. We were apart when he was in a car accident that took him from me.

Gotten me into the gym and lifting weights when I was still in high school, showing me the importance of health and fitness. Catching the missed opportunities of sex I had in high school because I was too closeted and clueless to know that the hottest guys I ever met were into me.

wouldn't want to go back-Every experience I've had made me who I am today.I don't live in the past, more excited about the future.
Even the experiences that weren't so great at the time actually turned out to be the best learning experiences.
Also too, there is sadness when you look back..... but I sure as hell can tell you the one thing I wouldn't change is telling people how I feel about them.Telling people I love them.
Own your scars people, everything happens for a reason.
