    A Summer of LGBT-LDS Love?

"GBT pride parades in 10 American cities are witnessing the arrival of an unlikely new contingent of gay allies: Mormons."

Some of them are fuckin' hot though.

Why anyone would dedicate their faith to a church invented by an American is beyond my comprehension.

One good feature of that religion - they seem to produce more than their share of gay men (who become ex-Mormons) who are above average in looks (that's my opinion, anyway), and who don't drink or smoke. A number of ex-Morman BFs in my past.

This isn't true. The majority of them don't hate gay people. They do, however, believe the bullshit their leaders profess about gay marriage being a threat to "the family" and against God's plan. But the majority of LDS people aren't raging homophobes. Misguided? yes. Discriminatory in being against equality? yes.

But to say that the "majority" of them outright hate gay people is just untrue and does more damage to our cause than anything.

He speaks truth. For the most part, a big chunk of the followers are more accepting and open minded to the gay world. Although I still find the religion exceptionally goofy, it does promote some quality values and morals that seems to make the overall "vibe" of the followers pleasant and welcoming.
