today I had been sitting in front of tv for a very long time, but none of BBC or CNN broadcast the live show to the audience, and they were all talking shit that moment.

so I got angery with them!?whats the hell they were doing that time!just forget about eveything about political things no matter which one is real right!olympic games not every year hold it,it is a huge activities in this whole world.everybody should have chance to watch it from TV.

this time i really got angry with them, cause those problems we can not watch it,I am sure it must be wonderful and splendid.

by the way, does anyone got the way to watch it from internet?I will very appreciate it.

I didn't watch it since I'm at work. But might try to catch it later. I did find that this page has pictures and video of the opening...

I'll have to wait til I get home to view the video since the link to the video is blocked, but maybe you can see it where you are.

I believe we've "tivoed" it and we'll watch it once we're done with the So You Think You Can Dance finale. A man has to have his priorities.

I watched CBC version that was live broadcast and then NBC version which was showed 12 hrs later. I liked NBC version which explain in detail about Chinese culture and civilisation. The opening ceremony was the best I have seen and it was truly amazing display of arts, technology and fireworks. Totally loved it!

I was addicted and watched most of it. I really loved the beach volleyball.
But China pisses me off. China is pretty backwards as far as human rights are concerned and it showed in the games...i.e. lip sing to the girl that was doing the singing...why? because she had bad teeth.

I like to consider myself an Olympic enthusiast - which is why I watched the games pretty much 24/7.

To my understanding they actually choose another girl to sing at the opening ceremony because the 'real' singer was deemed by the games officials to not be good looking enough to represent china as she was obese and wasn't exactly the best person to look at.

The children who made up the minority groups of china who performed during the ceremony were also found to be phonies as they are actually children from the local dance and drama club - or something like that.

The fireworks of the feet from Tiananmen square to the birds nest that were shown on tv were also computer animated.

On top of all of these, I was also disappointed with channel 7's coverage. It rarely zoomed out so you could see anything and always went to commercials during the most inappropriate times.
