Okay, this is going to be a sugar-coated, sappy story here. It's a cute one though and should bring a smile to all our "partnered" guys.

I have a serious boyfriend now.

That isn't a big deal for 99 percent of you reading this, but for me it is huge. Dates are seldom. Love is practically non-existant for me....until now.

    Read on.....

Friday the 13th was a great day for me as I introduced myself to "B." I'm gonna call him that here (and some of you that know this know his first name anyway). A few days before 7/13, I noticed a new car in my parking lot at work and it had an HRC "Equality" sticker on it (a sure-fire way to say, "I'm gay"). I made it a point to introduce myself to the guy that owns the car when I see him get into it, because I'm also an HRC supporter. On the afternoon of the 13th, I saw the guy get into the car, but I was some distance away. I was walking fairly quickly and saw him get in. He was about to close the door. I was roughly 10 feet away, when I said, "Hello"

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" was the sound coming from the car with the door nearly closed. I scared the hell out of him!! "It's okay. It's okay. I didn't mean to startle you," I said. I told him the reason why I wanted to say hello and recognized him from working in my office, but in another department. We chatted for about 20 minutes and I told him I felt bad for scaring him.

We ran into each other a few times the following Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, I asked "B" if he wanted to get together for lunch. He has little time for lunch, but said, "What about dinner?"

I thought, "Dinner? That means something...." I told him later we would and we'll set a date for it. I also told him, I'm interested in knowing him better. He said the exact same thing....

Now, some of you are going to frown on an at-work romance but we are both professional people and understand the ramifications of all this. Our jobs come first and the fact that we're attracted to each other does not change our focus at work whatsoever.

We started instant messaging each other and last Monday, he made the move to ask me to dinner and we'll go to his place afterwards. It was the best Monday of my life as we enjoyed each others company, learned so much more about each other and...I did go to his place....and arrived back at mine around 1 AM.

The "L" word has already spilled out from both of us. We are completely into each other and it's headed toward us being together as a loving couple.

"B" is 17 years younger than me, but it's no big deal for either one of us. We are in love and that is all that matters.

Sure, it might be a little "fast," however, I have not experienced love but for only a few and very brief times in my life. "B" happens to be the one I have been seeking all my life. It happens for everyone else, it happened for me.

Like I said, it's no big thing for a vast majority of you guys, but for me it is very special. I have been invisible for most of my life and now someone loves and cares for me. Since this is a very happy time for me, I wanted to share this with the guys I care about a lot, my extended family here. Some of you have heard that I have a love interest, but wanted to tell the entire story. "B" is the love of my life.

And...isn't this better than reading about some break-up story or how someone's BF is cheating on them???

Congratulations and enjoy the moment. The freshness of love is always a welcome addition to life.

Will he have an RJ account? And/Or, will you be "retiring" from RJ for a while?

I have told "B" about RJ and some of my closest buddies here and if he wants to start a profile, that would be great. I'm going to leave it up to him.

    I may curtail my RJ time a little. After all, isn't 6 hours a night--every night--enough???

Ah, so it was lasagna. I'm glad it wasn't Lowe's, would mean you're both lesbians.

Seriously, super news, I know how much you've wanted, and deserved this. icon_biggrin.gif
