I have a friend of almost 15 years that found out he was HIV positive 10 years ago. Over the past couple of years he has posted on various internet sites and have met over to my knowledge 30 people off these sites and has had unprotected sex with them, both oral and anal. It has really become a concern for me because he is in his 50's and has these sexual encounters with men that are in their 20's and some have been underaged, considered illegal. It really has concerned me that he will transmit HIV to someone or contract another STD. I have tried to talk to him about this situation and he becomes very defensive and changes the subject or finds something negative to say to me. Sometimes I feel like he is intentionally trying to infect someone and I dont know him anymore. Any advice would be appreciated. I am at a loss.

First of all, never mind the loser above me. Second, it is your business and it's completely fucked up. I would never intentionally try to infect another person, that's horrible. It is illegal as well, regardless what some of these ignorant fucks may think. It IS illegal. Your friend is most likely lying to people to get laid, and it goes completely against what I've been trying to get across to people is that being honest about your status is more important than getting off in 5 minutes, and potentially altering someone else's life by infecting them. That doesn't help our cause either. I've heard of these people before, guys who don't give two shits about who they infect, and continue to lie to one person after the other. How does your friend sleep at night? I couldn't live with myself.

It's a criminal offence in most of the western world to knowingly infect someone with a STD.
If it's not in your jurisdiction, then it's will more than likely fall under other criminal legislation, such a criminal negligence.
He is walking on thin ice, however the practicality is that at least one young persons life will be changed forever before anything can be done.

I'd have a hard time maintaining a friendship with someone who intentionally would alter people's lives for a quick release! Just as I ended the friendship, I'd tell him how fucked up of an individual I thought he is.

I agree with all the above but also.... if he is having sex with persons that are underage and considered ILLEGAL and you know of it, then you are obligated to report it. actually it is considered law that you have to report it. Just look at the Sandusky case.
