What do you think is the best possible body an ectomorph can achieve?

    Anton Antipov

Judge "best" as you wish, but only post pictures of guys with bodies that can be achieved by ectomorphs!

I actually think the ectomorph examples look the most attractive. They're muscular and lean, bulky where it counts and actually look like they can run a few miles.

So you suggest there are no limits other than your own investment?

Because what I always thought is that even if you have the perfect nutrition, training, dedication and even drugs, there are limits imposed by your frame and genetics.

Not to mention that because ectos take so long to show noticeable results and that most transformations that are publicized are from fat to muscular, you get the impression ectos just can't grow much.

I was hoping someone could come up with more examples of what is achievable to ectos (assuming it does impose a limit on maximum growth)

Interesting that you chose three people who have admitted to using steroids. I'm not saying steroid using bodybuilders don't work hard (they certainly do). I don't think that was the purpose of the question, per se.

I'd be more interested in seeing max potentials without the use of steroids.

The originals look like they could def be ectomophs, usually the long arms give it away.

I think quite a lot is possible if you put in the hard work and stay dedicated. As an ectomorph myself with a small frame, I can say that the amount of work needed is probably much greater than those blessed with great genetics. However, as I began my personal transformation a couple years ago, I noticed that ectomorphs can really achieve something great if the overwhelming desire is there. We'll probably never look like Arnold, but we can certainly transform ourselves in drastic ways. icon_smile.gif

I agree with you, though I find it hard to believe you are an ecto. icon_smile.gif

Yeah isn't an Ecto usually someone with <7" wrists if over a certain height? Their wrists don't seem appear tiny.

Their wrists look like under 7" to me... (grabs glasses)

Maybe this earlier photo of Anton Antipov will help you decide

How intense were you lifting? Your transformation seems amazing for only 2 years.

Thanks. Started training fairly intense from the beginning... 4 to 5 days a week. I also went from taking in what I would estimate to be 1500 - 1800 calories per day to approx. 4,500. It's really the eating that makes the difference.

I dont want to sound too ignorant but how does one determine whether they are endo, meso, or ecto? These are just all new terms to me and I assume one caters their workout to that in order to achieve max results.

I'm sure even guys on the juice would envy your results! I just don't know if someone with your height would qualify as ecto. You are more likely in the "glorious mesomorph" stratum. icon_biggrin.gif
