since i use to be fat, I am not use to that attention.

i dont know how to reciprocate....
SO could you help me out b/c I'm a shy guy

    FOR EXAMPLE:
i was walking to the gym from the parking lot, and this guy that usually checks me out, was walking in front of me, but when saw me, he walked slow. even though i was a bit far from the door, he held it open, but i walked slower b/c i chickened out icon_sad.gif.. so he just walked in. anyways he just kept checking me out in the gym... it was funny b/c there's mirrors everywhere haha -_-

--another guy, exercises in my area... (the exercise machines face each other in the gym) so he began to sit in front of the one i use, even though he didnt before. when i walk in the gym, Bam! he's looking. WHen i leave, BAM! he's looking. i don't know what to do..

tere's another, damn this one is not even discreet! he just.... wow..
    ========================================================
THERE'S more guys but I'll tell you if want to know///

ANYWAYS.. I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE WHAT TO DO OR SAY TO THEM... THEY'RE WAY OLDER THAN ME! IT'S a COLLEGE GYM.

I HOPE NONE OF THEM ARE READING THIS ....

MY friend said to use the hollywood movie approach... i.e accidently falling or slipping in front of them... but i dont think that always works

actually i get checked out and hit on by everything I am completely unattracted to and completely ignored by the men I am drawn to. It's a gift.

Just say Hi. It's ok to be friendly anywhere. You can hold a conversation with them without dropping trou.

Yeah...I usually get cruised by guys in their 50s and 60s. While its flatterimg, I already have one dad--I don't need a daddy in addition. I try to make it known to everyone that I'm not there to chat but to workout, so I try to make myself out to be as unapproachable and douchy as possible. Otherwise, I get trapped in boring conversations about nothing. i'm with Larry David--I hate stop and chats.

There is all kinds of "checking out" that goes on in gyms.... even non sexual from straight guys interested in what you might have that they don't. I've been totally checked out in my YMCA, it doesn't phase me in the least and it shouldn't you.

You don't need to say anything, if you catch somebody looking at you, nod at them if it seems appropriate, be friendly and smile if you find them attractive and go on about your business.

Congrats on losing the weight.. great job! If you are in decent shape and work hard (and it shows), this is what you get. It is all a compliment.

Just one question...how could anyone figure out your identity if your picture isn't showing?

lol I think he said that for added dramatic effect as if someone might figure out who he is and stalk him. It's all very transparent and screams insecurity if you ask me.

I think there's a lot of hot guys at my college gym as well, but I can never tell who's gay/straight. I assume all of them are straight lol. And I can't tell between an interested look vs. a what-are-you-looking-at look.

Come on why don't we all just wear Embroidered "G's" on our shirts to let everybody know. Thought the only reason to goto the gym was to workout and improve ourselves.

I should add, I definitely go to the gym for my workout, but it'd be nice to have some friends to work out with, talk to, that kinda thing. In my social life, outside the internet, I don't really have anyone to talk to but my partner and maybe one other person. There's nothing wrong with wanting to make friends at the gym, people you can learn from, feel less alone.

I agree, but is there really a difference whether the individual is gay or str8.. If you click on a friendly level, why should it matter?
