Can you spare a buddy a little cheer?

Two of our RJ members* could use a little cheer sent their way.

One is undergoing the joys of cancer therapy side effects. It's no walk in the park, even if he is still up and walking around.

Another is about to be slammed with radiation and chemo for a painful cancer misdiagnosed for 2 years! He's a real fighter. Carrying on despite the pain. (Caslon would need a morphine drip on a pole, if he felt so much as discomfort! icon_eek.gif )

Ya got a little cheer and well wishes for our buddies?

    * I'm not naming them cuz I havent asked them to have this thread. Cuz I know what they would say with all modesty. But having been there, I also know that it is good to read good wishes.

My heart goes out... You can make it, just take things as they come a day at a time and one day the work will simply add up to a happy and joyous life again! Promise. I got through it just the same.icon_cool.gif

This is relaxation and "healing" music... if don't want to make a religion out of it don't; I don't, please relax and be calm with yourself and all that is around you... icon_cool.gif

I don't know both guys with this situation happening, but I sure know one of them - and have had him in my prayers for awhile now. He is a great guy here - handsome and brilliant in his Forums contributions. What he (they) are going through is tough. I've seen it (not in myself but in someone close to me a few years ago). This is a war they're fighting. All the best thoughts and prayers to both guys.

Today is the big day for the beginning of radiation on our RJ buddy. I haven't heard from him since his concern over the sudden complexity of his treatment. That worries me. I hope all goes well with him. Crossing my fingers and pressing my thumbs for his speedy recovery!

Ok. I just heard the complexity was just technical calibration of the X-ray machines for his radiation. Whew!

Yeah, sometimes the Radiation therapy has to be very finely tuned so it doesn't cause burns / damage in other tissues - it's a pretty precise science.

I wish both of the guys well - hope that they keep strong and keep their eye on the end goal.

Wishing them both a speedy recovery - hopefully we can get names, or at least keep a thread going so we can offer some ongoing support.

Been through it, my cousin's going through it, and I totally understand if they don't want to talk about it or be talked about. Better they should focus on soldiering on! Good wishes coming their way, whether they know it or not!
