I have been thinking about this for five years and last night, finally got my tattoo. We just did the outline which took four years. Have to go back in two weeks to get it filled-in. I'm so excited! I love it!

Interesting thing though... at the gym today... lots of position comments from my Black and Latino brothers... not so much from other White folk...

Darn it - the larger version of the profile picture isn't showing for me right now. Congrats though - I've got a trip to LA planned in the near future to get some more ink.

    Very nice! icon_biggrin.gif

Great place to put it and accentuates your build beautifully.

    Unfilled, it looks maori. LOL

The tat is going to look awesome and you are going to pull it off in the usual way. Cant wait to see the finished worked.

BTW: God was crying for joy that you were finally doing it. God loves tats.

Well then I'd say the worst of it is definitely behind you. The outline was more painful than the filling in part. 'Course mine in on a much smaller scale:

    tat.jpg

It's a cartoon character my father drew for me when I was I kid. It was on all his letters from the Navy, on my school folder, my Big Wheel, etc.

When he passed away in 1999 I had it made into a tattoo on my left ankle.

    Glad you're happy with it!

The tat looks awesome on you! But, I hope the outline only took four HOURS, not four years. If the outline took four years, you need a new tat artist. icon_smile.gif

    Congrats again! Great choice.

It is like spray painting "David" by Michaelangelo, If you like it go for it.

    Hey- looking good!

About two months ago I got a huge piece on my back... it was suppose to be done in two visits... the outline and then the fill in. However I just wanted to get the whole thing over with- can I tell you- I thought I was about to pretty much die when I was done. Omg I have never experienced anything so painfully--- I felt like someone was stabbing me in the back multiple times and maybe twisting. I'll post pictures soon.
