Poor Jordan Wieber...it was heart-breaking to watch her miss out on the All-Around competition by mere tenths. On the flip-side, big congrats to Alexandra Raisman for seizing her opportunity and doing it when it counts. She wasn't even in the conversation, as it was all but a forgone conclusion that Gabby Douglas and Jordan would be the two US reps in the AA competition.

As an aside, I wonder if FIG will eventually change the rules to allow for 3 per country representation. The 2 per rule seems so arbitrary and since 8 seems to be the common number for cut-offs, a 3 per rule would allow a minium of 8 different countries representation. Why not, eh? It's at least as arbitrary as the current 2 per rule and makes just as much sense, since 3 medals are awarded as well. icon_smile.gif

Also, amazing Oksana Chusovitina still competing and qualifying 4th to make it into the vault final. She's 37 and competing against girls that could be her daughters. This is as impressive if not more so, than Yordan Yovchev still competing in the mens competition. So very cool! icon_cool.gif

how can you be gay and like Women's gymnastics? hehehe jk, I felt bad for Jordyn Wieber for not making the IA but come on, tiny mistakes added up, don't freaking step out of bound and stick it. This is the Olympics for god sake. icon_lol.gif
