I didn't want to railroad a different (but excellent) thread, but I thought this game would be a fun way to expand everyone's music collections.

    1) Make a recommendation based on the artist that the guy above you likes (e.g. The guy above likes Gorillaz, I might suggest Ok Go based on that.) Feel free to explain your choice. Your recommendation can be just an artist, an album, or even a specific song.

    2) Post an artist that you like. Feel free to explain your choice as it can make matching that artist easier. It doesn't have to be your favourite artist.

    3) No posts that are not game turns. Discussion of choices muddles up who the last guy actually is if people start conversation "subthreads" within the thread. If you want to make a recommendation to a guy who's already passed, send them a mail message, or play the game and embed your recommendation after you've completed your turn. (e.g. I recommend Ok Go for the guy above who likes Gorillaz, but would like to suggest Eva Cassidy's Fields of Gold to the guy who said he liked Imogen Heap's Hide and Seek.)

Admmittedly, I'm a fan of Coldplay. I like that it is slightly melancholic, but at times joyful (with the really full sounds.) And I like the fact that they do make use of other instruments. I have other artists I will post, but let's get the ball rolling icon_smile.gif

    For lean_jock74

    Sea Wolf

Melancholy. Similar to but better than Coldplay, imo.

Since the guy above didn't leave a song he liked, I'll say that Sea Wolf reminds me a bit of the Tragically Hip, in particular "Little Bones"

Also looking for similar groups to the Propellerheads

    Kevin Riepl

Game composer of several game soundtracks including Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3.

This even sounds like Spybreak from Propellerheads (suggest listening to it at loud volumes. icon_razz.gif):

    Kevin Riepl - Go Down

    Kevin Riepl - Lockdown Mix

    Kevin Riepl - Frozen Babylon

I think they're realeasing a UT3 soundtrack on cd, in the meantime, it's available in torrents. My two favorite tracks are Temple of Shambhala and Bushido (not available in YouTube it seems).

It seems Muttskins is fond of the Girly voiced
    dance bands

I think Dragonette's The Boys would do him well

    As far as me ...
I tend to go for more the Alternative/Industrial/Club
music or the Presets and Morningwoodicon_cool.gif
