--------------------------------------------------------------

July 19, 2012 Republican Senators voted against bringing jobs back to America. The Bring Jobs Home Act would give a 20% tax break for the costs of Moving Jobs Back to America and would stop business expense deductions for moving operations overseas.

I get so frustrated with party-line republicans who say Obama is trying to "spread with wealth," when really they are just being duped by millionaires who are trying to line their pockets! Stupid global warming-denying anti-gay repubs are destroying this country!!!

Thanks for posting this!

The Repubs campaigned on a promise to "focus like a laser beam on jobs jobs jobs" in 2010.

They won control of the House based on that promise.

But since the Repubs took control they've focused on anti-gay and anti-abortion legislation.

As this thread shows - the only effort the Repubs have made on jobs has been BLOCKING the passage of any legislation that would create more jobs.

The job-killing Repubs in Congress deserve to have their butts kicked out of the Congress this November.

RickRick,

The Republican controlled House has passed over 30 jobs bills since January of 2011. Guess where they are being BLOCKED. In the DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED SENATE.

That's the same DEMOCRATS CONTROLLED SENATE that hasn't bothered to pass a budget in almost 4 years.

Sorry to bring some FACTS into your little fantasy world.... Now go back to liberal la-la land.

HAHA

Nope.
The "jobs" bills you refer to wouldn't have created any jobs and were instead focused on other goals.
The Repubs are just calling them jobs bills to try to cover their asses.

Another fact check for you - budgets originate in the House - and the Repub-controlled House has knowingly FAILED to send a bipartisan budget to the Senate that had a prayer of getting passed in the Senate.
The Repubs in the House have proven that they're too inflexibly partisan and dogmatic to be able to govern responsibly and to get things done on behalf of ALL Americans.

And ON TOPIC - please let us know what possible reason or excuse exists for the Repubs to have voted against the "Bringing Jobs Back To America" bill?

Of course they would have created jobs.

And the House did send a budget as required by law to the DEMOCRAT controlled Senate and the Senate - IN VIOLATION OF THE LAW - has refused to do ANY work on the budget.

And while we're at it - Savior Obama hasn't gotten a SINGLE DEMOCRAT TO VOTE for any of his budgets. Why is that?

LOL
Bullshit as usual, Southbeach.

The Repubs have a responsibility to send a budget to the Senate that has a chance of actually getting passed into law.

They've failed to do that and have instead sent extremist budgets that reflect budget priorities that are opposed by a majority of Americans.

The Repubs have been disrespecting the will of We The People and have been trying to ram through a radical budget that the American people don't support.

They've failed to govern responsibly on behalf of ALL Americans and should be punished at the polls this November.

It's very revealing BTW that you don't even attempt to try to find an excuse for the Repubs for voting against the "Bringing Jobs Back To America" bill!

If you are trying to suggest the Senate is absolved from acting on a budget because the House has not, in your opinion or anyone else's opinion, passed a budget proposal that would pass the Senate, you are completely wrong. Both houses have a responsibility to act and then try and resolve differences. The Congressional Budget and Impound Control Act of 1974 is very clear on this, and subsequent actions have not changed this. Also for reference is The Congressional Budget Process Timetable.

http://www.senate.gov/reference/resources/pdf/98-472.pdf

Harry Reid has ignored the law for three years, regardless of what he or anyone thinks about the Republican budget proposal from the House. But no surprise in light of his recent demonstration that he has absolutely no respect for his own position.

Yup.

As we all know - our resident RJ Repubs are knee jerk defenders of the Repub party - but even they can't come up with a line of BS to try to use to defend the partisan job-killing actions of the Repubs in Congress.

The Repubs in Congress have been doing everything they can think of to try to kill jobs and to prevent job creation (for purely selfish partisan reasons) - and they need to be booted out of office this November.

Rich people with the $$$$$$$$ to be able to write big checks to the Repub party.

Are we surprised? Conservatives and Republicans destroyed jobs and the economy for 8 years under Bush. Now they want to do it again under the tax evader Mitt Romney.

I hope Americans don't fall for it again.

Mitt Romney and the Repubs are on the wrong side of history.

They may not know or agree with that yet - but they can read the polls and they know that they're on the wrong side of this issue politically.

After years of gay Americans getting screwed by the Repub party (especially at election time) - let's hope that gay voters and gay rights supporters will go the polls this year and screw the Repubs.
