This will be my first AIDS Walk and I am happy and excited to be participating in this great event. Cascade AIDS Project is an amazing organization and I've seen how much they give back to our community so I'm throwing all my support behind their efforts.

I walk to honor the friends and family that I've lost.
I walk to support those who live their daily lives with the virus.
I walk to eliminate the stigma associated with this disease.
I walk to promote education so we might stop the senseless spread of this disease to our younger generations.
    I walk to celebrate life!

Please consider giving to this great cause today and help us reach our goals...any/all amounts are appreciated. Send me a note and I'll send you the link. Better yet, join our team The Lumber Jacks and be a part of this yourself! You don't have to be in Portland to participate. The Portland walk is Sept 23 but the fund raising push is in full swing.

We're in this for some serious goodness! Whether you give to our team, other walkers, or start your own team, we all win when the funds come in.

    Peace,
    Scott

Good man! I went to my first AIDSWalk Orange County, Ca in 2009 even though I have been HIV positive since 1998. I went with a smaller organization under the umbrella of Orange County AIDS Services Foundation (Organization that holds the AIDSwalk) and had so much fun! It really improved my outlook on this disease!

Thanks guys for the emails...imagine if a forum post could actually serve a purpose. Let's see what RJ is really made of
It takes a village to make change - every little bit counts. Give something if you can. I'm so grateful to those of you who already have.

Less than two weeks til the walk in Portland. This has been a wonderful journey and I'm so thankful for everyone who's given their time and energy to this event. I've met some amazing people and heard countless amazing stories of strength and hope! It's gonna be a wonderful day.
I encourage everyone to get involved in their respective cities and do what you can to bring awareness back to your communities.
And to those of you who've kindly donated to the Portland AIDS Walk - I thank you
