Can anyone help me look into this Weight Loss supplement? A friend of mine suggested that I should take this as a supplement when I work out and I'm just wondering if there's anything bad in this. He says he sees great result with itb ut I'm really not sure. I'm horrible at chemistry and all of these things sounds interesting to me.

I would try to get the will power of dieting and exercising first. I would only use supplements when you had the dedication or you would be wasting your money.

Go for it. It has a lot of caffeine and other metabolic boosters to speed up your metabolism tho, meaning you it will make you poop and piss more. I haven't seen any steroids on the nutrition label so it sounds good.

yourname2000 saidFirst off: these are not worth the money...it's a marketing gimmick to package these things this way. You may want these very ingredients for the reasons they say they're good, but if you were to buy them individually, the doses you would get for the same per day price are many times (over 10 times in some cases) what you're getting here. And these contain an awful lot of caffeine at the recommended dose...more than is recommended, imo.

Okay...next: the dose. It's 1 pill the morning, 1 in the afternoon on day one ramping up to 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon by day eight. Therefore, once you're into the 2nd week, a bottle represents 20 days worth, or $2/day at this sale price ($3/day at the regular price.)

What's inside: there are two main sets of ingredients --there are some other things too-- but mostly this is:
    a) a testosterone building stack of Zinc, Magnesium and Vit B6
(effectionately known throughout the universe as "ZMA")
    b) and some thermogenic compounds to rev up your metabolism...
caffeine being the main ingredient --these pills are over 40% caffeine!

I bought my last ZMA from bodybuilding.com for "buy 2 bottles, get a third" and one bottle was on sale for $12 (regularly $20). Each bottle contains 90 capsules, recommended dose 3/day, so I got a 90 day supply for $24, or $0.27/day. Six of your pills equals the same amount of zinc in my 3, but my 3 gives 5x more B6 and 4.5x more magnesium (and also some Vit E and C). Btw, ZMA is supposed to support deeper sleep, and it's in REM4 that apparently the most testosterone is made in the body.

The main thermogenics in your pills are green tea extract and caffeine....and it's a lot of caffeine! Six pills is 600mg of caffeine! The same as in 8 expressos. You can buy caffeine pills cheap....100 x 200mg for $4 from bodybuilding.com. Even at 600mg a day (ridiculous!!), that's $0.12/day. The other thing is the green tea extract...bb.com has their brand on for $6.50 for 100 capsules of 500mg, about the same amount as in 6 of your pills (516mg). I actually prefer Yerba Mate, a Brazilian green tea that might even be a better fat burner...it's $15 for 100 x 500mg. That makes GTE = $0.07/day and Yerba Mate at $0.15/day.

The other ingredients are things that either help your blood (ginkgo, black pepper), are antioxidants (cacao, cayenne--also a thermogenic), or supposedly change the way your body deals with fat (raspberry ketones). But they're in such small amounts, I question the value at all. Raspberry ketones is one of the new things...it's not even really "proven" yet, but the dose is usually 100mg/day...6 of those pills is 9mg. You can get 90 x 100mg for $13 at bb.com, or $0.07/day...at 11 times the strength of your pills.

Basically, if you picked up some ZMA, some green tea extract and some caffeine pills, you'd be getting the same effect for as much as a quarter of the price. And it would allow you to take all the ZMA 30-60min before bed, when it's most effective, and manage your caffeine intake much better (maybe pop a couple in the morning and one before your workout, or something). And for some of those anti-oxidants, just eat some good food! Blueberries! Pomegranate! Get the capsacum from hot peppers (or buy it in supplement form, if you like...it's cheap).

And cacao is awesome!! You can probably get 8oz of raw cacao powder (it's cocoa, but from raw unroasted beans) for under $10 at a good grocery store. It's amazing in smoothies. T and I really enjoy raw cacao nibs (bean pieces) squished into raw dates...they're amazing....like an Oh Henry bar, lol.

Anyway, you're paying for the marketing with that pill...you can do better (and I think safer) on your own. And certainly cheaper.

Edit: if you want to do your own research, go to bodybuilding.com and click on the "store" tab. Then in the left menu, select "choose by ingredient", and pick your ingredient. They've got little videos for a lot of the ingredients, and usually a good written summary too of what each is *supposed* to do.

    That's very very helpful. Thanks.

    Crack.

It's like coke, but doesn't hurt your nose cause you don't snort it.

Or just good old fashioned Paleo diet and exercise...which is how I lost 70 lbs.
