This evidence of Cathy's actions is why I have no respect for him or his company. But hey, "freedom of speech" to do what he pleases even if it means calling for the mass execution of them from another country. The guy's a bigoted hypocrite who lies to the public about how he really feels towards gays.icon_rolleyes.gif He really hates them and it's clear through his actions.

the article saidJail sentences are also mandated for people who simply know someone who is gay and not reporting them to the police within 72 hours.

Witch hunts are so stupid. How is this bill even allowed to exist.

You would think that the world has learned from history.icon_rolleyes.gif But I guess history repeats itself on and on as we treat other groups the same way as we did other groups that were once oppressed.

Come on CuriosjockAZ and the rest of the other traitorus, hypocritical, Gay republicans on here......Come! Please defend your party's supporters...

Todd, on the other Chick-fil-a thread you said the following. I underlined the best part. icon_wink.gif

"I have said before that I have never eaten at a Chick-Fil-A, and I don't plan to. Not because I give a fuck what their CEO thinks about gay marriage, but because I don't generally eat fast-food...and especially not fried chicken. For me, boycotting companies like Chick-Fil-A is easy --- it's not a choice, it's a lifestyle. Regardless, I can separate my personal beliefs or values from where or who I spend my dollars on. I generally don't give a crap what the political views are of the companies to whom get my business. That is not likely to change. If that means I may lose my "Gay Card" -- Fine -- you can have it."

I would be more than happy to take yours and the other traitorus, hypocritical, Gay republicans' Gay cards away as I spit in your faces. Then maybe you all could actually be accepted by the republican party that you so dutifully defend.

HRC gives buyer's guide ratings based on a company's fairness in treatment of glbtq people. Many of them get a perfect 100 score. Here is the guide:

Edit: Apple that makes the iPhone and iPod is among the companies with a 100 score.

This as much a profit issue for many of those companies as it is a moral issue. Whether they support lobbying for horrendous human right violation or not, the final decision is in the hands of the government of Uganda. If they are not so barbaric themselves, they will understand that when they sign on to the position that they currently held, the sign on to protect the rights of all their citizens to live and liberty.

In this situation, I don't think we can put too much blame on an individual company more than those running the country.

I'm getting annoyed by the 'just shut up and accept it' mentality. This outright bullying is not acceptable. Secondly, as quite a sizeable market segment, we can make a huge difference in determining where we choose to spend our money. I'm blown away by some of these companies who choose get on a political wagon and risk alienating a major consumer market. Why wouldn't THEY just STFU and just worry about their bottom lines. It just seems like a bad mix.

I have grown to accept CuriousJock's Uncle Tom position when it comes to gay rights. It's not going to change. He refuses to leave the plantation.

As funny as your response is, (and it is funny. Makes me laugh.), the truth of the matter is that these are your own pathetic words. And I will proudly stand behind what I say about you and the other Gay republicans on here and everywhere.....that you are all hypocritical, traitorous, cancers within the Gay community.
And the day WILL come when the republican party finds out that you are Gay. I would love see you get exactly what you deserve from the anti-Gay party that you so enjoy being a member of.
It will come. All traitors are found out eventually.

Feel free to post a single statement that Mr. Cathy has made in which he stated:

    - he hates gay

    - he would support the jailing or killing of gays in another country

    - that gays are not welcome in his restaurant

    - that he would not hire gays

    - that he would fire any gays working for him in any of his restaurants

Go ahead...find a single sentence that he uttered anything like that.

You are SO desperate to defend yourself that you use these tactics? You are pathetic Todd.

And we all know, because we haven't seen it in print, or have heard it on a recording that his feelings are probably not far away from what you've said.

Have any of you ever met a member of the Family Research Council that has been anything but hateful towards Gays? Of course not.
This dick from Chick-fil-a sends money to support this group you fool! That alone is his way of NOT having to say these things. icon_rolleyes.gif

Never back down, eh Todd? This time you're just wrong.
Cathy may not have said anything specifically, but he gives his money to the very organizations that are financing the politicians in Uganda that are pushing the "kill the gays" bill. According to the Supreme Court, money equals speech.

If I am wrong, please prove it. Please cite which organization Cathy is giving to who you say supports "Kill The Gays" in Uganda. Then please cite statements by said company in which they have stated that they support "Kill The Gays" in Uganda.

Fine, Tristan, please feel free to cite a single example of the FAMILY RESEARCH COUNCIL stating that they support the killing of gays in Uganda.

Easy now Mr. Tristan, as much as I agree with your statements, Todd doesn't think like us. No reason to waste energy on a lost cause. Anyone that stands up for the FRC or AFA that are gay are just blatantly dumb. Both those groups actively lobby for gays to be arrested. Let him defend them. I will defend my freedom.
