Flower Children were my generation in the 1960s. Although the pic in the OP looks more like a recreation, a little too clean and neat, the hair wrong, too. Here's a sample of more of the different looks in the '60s, including Flower Children:
The Flower Children that survived intact all moved to Washington State, where they sport bushy white hair and beards like Santa Claus, even the women, and live in derelict shacks in the Cascades.
Yeah, I don't really know what they were deep inside, but I saw some of them on some old documentaries about the 60s and the flower children seem to be good young people who just wanted to have peace and love in the world. This is a dream all of us good people want. They rocked based on my limited knowledge of them actually. Martin Luther King had the foundation for their thinking right? I really respected King. He had the right idea.
